Second Selection Arc[]
Kurona is a part of the 7th and final team to clear the Second Selection along with Ryusei Shido, Gurimu Igarashi, Reo Mikage, and Tetsu Sokura.
Third Selection Arc[]
Kurona is selected to play with Team A, headed by Rin Itoshi and Ryusei Shido, and complemented by Jin Kiyora and Aoshi Tokimitsu. The team wins their match against Team C with a score of 5 to 4.
U-20 Arc[]
Kurona does not play in the match between Blue Lock and the Japan U-20 team, although he was chosen as one of the substitutes.
Neo Egoist League Arc[]
Kurona trains under Bastard München and plays in 3 of the 4 tournament matches. He scores no goals during the tournament though does assist Isagi in a goal during their match against Ubers. From this, he earns an opening bid of 24,000,000 Yen, which increases to 34,000,000 Yen in the subsequent round. He wins a final bid of 35,000,000 from Monão, earning him 18th place and securing him a spot on the Japan U-20 team to play for the U-20 World Cup.[1]

Kurona is not selected as a starter for Japan's opening game against Nigeria.[2]
