Appearance[]

Junichi is a fairly tall young man with large black eyes and spiky hair. He has crocodile-shaped eyebrows and is commonly seen frowning or grinning alongside his brother Keisuke.

Personality[]

Along with his twin brother, Junichi thinks of himself as superior to others and only acknowledges his fellow twin. Between the twins, Junichi is the strong silent one, mostly communicating with grunts and facial expressions during First Selection but he is shown capable of speaking during the Second Selection. Along with his brother, he isn't afraid to play dirty, as he accepts Kuon's plan and often mocks Chigiri both during the Blue Lock Program and on his high school team.

Abilities[]

Archetype[]

  • Forwards: also known as strikers, have the main objective of scoring goals. They are often the players who get the most attention since their role is designed to be in a scoring position. They also take part in penalty kicks and corner kicks when the opposing team kicks the ball out of bounds. They are normally the players in charge of starting off the game at the start and halftime.

Skills[]

  • Eye Contact: This is a rather more unique weapon than the others, as it only works when Junichi is paired with his brother Keisuke. This ability works when the two Wanima brothers are playing together and use the closeness and timing of each of their movements to produce powerful combination plays. Since Junichi doesn't usually speak, Keisuke understands everything the older brother wants just by their eye contact. One key weakness of this weapon is that it's not an individual weapon, so as soon as the Blue Lock Project eliminated Keisuke, Wanima struggled to keep up with the best players of the program, even though the Wanima brother could even score the first goal effortlessly against the invincible Team V and beat Team X.
