Appearance[]
Raichi is a tall young man with a muscular build. His hair is usually seen as flat and is pale blonde, similar to that of Seishiro Nagi. His eyes in the colored pages of the Blue Lock manga are that of an amber color, and framing them are extremely dark, thick lashes.
Sharp shark-like teeth make Raichi's appearance seem intimidating, even more so when he scowls and shouts. But in the rare moments where his irritable and erratic nature isn't graphic, Raichi is overall an attractive young player. At Blue Lock, Raichi wears the standard-issued body suit (black with gray stripes) and tracksuit. During the First Selection, he wore Team Z's blue #10 jersey and wore Team Z's gray-capped cleats. During Second Selection, he wore Team Red's #95 jersey and that later switched to Team B's white #95 jersey during the Third Selection.
During the game against the Japan U-20, Raichi is a reserve player and wears the Blue Lock long jacket with his Blue Lock Eleven uniform under it. In the Neo Egoist League, Raichi is currently a starter for Bastard München and wears their black, red, and gold kit with the #22.

Personality[]
Raichi is one of the most hotheaded players in Blue Lock, initially overly confident in his own skills. He does not like people giving orders, but after the amount of talent and the level of difficulty in Blue Lock humbled him multiple times, Raichi learns to succeed in his role the best he can so that he not only survives Blue Lock but grows along with everybody else. Raichi gets frustrated when players he initially underestimated develop faster than him and he likes to remind those who are below him of their place.
In the beginning of Blue Lock, he was highly argumentative and disagreeable. His tendency to belittle his teammates, as seen in the first few chapters, stems from an overwhelming confidence in his abilities, which can make him come across as arrogant and pompous. But as time went on, he learned to work with others and listen to what they had to say to succeed, calming down his arrogance in the process.
In the final game of First Selection, Raichi is willing to forget the position of striker and uses his brash personality to inspire and fuel his team, implying that despite wanting to be a striker, Raichi is willing to change in order for his team and himself to win.
In the Neo Egoist League, Raichi has mellowed out considerably and acts as the "heart" of the team, constantly being the player to aggressively bark callouts to the rest of his team, using his loud voice as a way to pump himself and his teammates up. And, despite retaining his overall disposition, Raichi has been shown to be much more lenient in listening to his teammates (namely Isagi) in order to fulfill a specific role to help the team win, and even apologizes if he doesn't manage to successfully fill that role. Of course, he still yells at his teammates angrily if they mess up on their end.
Abilities[]
Archetypes[]
Defensive Midfielders: are midfield players who focus on protecting their team's goal. These players may defend a zone in front of their team's defence, or man mark specific opposition attackers. Defensive midfielders may also move to the full-back or center-back positions if those players move forward to join in an attack.
Box-to-box: Box-to-box midfielders help with almost every aspect of the game. They need immense stamina as they need to cover most areas of the pitch, as well as some degree of passing skills. They would be up one end of the pitch assisting the attack one moment, then back helping to defend around their own penalty area the next. They normally play as central midfielders, but any of the midfield players may have this attribute.
Raichi has always shown excellent endurance, tenacity, and high-demanding marking abilities. These weapons define Raichi as a box-to-box player who can sustain in long games. He can be a pivotal defense piece of a formation.
Skills[]
Immense Stamina: Raichi's stamina is immeasurable. Reo only thought of Raichi's man-marking as a nuisance, but as the game went on, his stamina never depleted and Reo's playmaking ability started to weaken. Raichi's stamina enables him to continue playing at optimal capacity, which combined with his man-marking ability makes him a constant threat in both defensive and offensive phases of play. Raichi's endurance is still higher than all his peers, even the ones who are technically more skilled than he is.
Superior Physicality: The strength of Raichi's physical contact makes him very effective in stealing balls in one-on-one duels, even besting physically dominant players such as Aoshi Tokimitsu.
Man-marking: Raichi is able to effectively man-mark another player using his physicality and presence to prevent them from playing. Thanks to his aggressive personality, Raichi can make himself a real nuisance to his opponents, which, combined with the pressure he puts them under, sometimes even provokes an illegal reaction from them, as when Reo fouled him, resulting in a yellow card. His man-marking ability is so efficient that Noel Noa recognized the talent and promoted him to become the heart of Bastard München's formation.
Stalking Horse Defense: Instead of a standard man-mark, Raichi will limit himself to an area of a two-meter radius half circle in front of his opponent. This will greatly increase the chances of him intercepting a pass meant for the opposing player or outright stealing the ball from him. This strategy rides on his grit, stamina, and dueling abilities. Raichi first used this to contain Marc Snuffy and was effective enough to force him to pass the ball.
If it were his last day on Earth, he would climb the Statue of Liberty.
If he received 100 million yen, he would live in New York.
His motto is "There's no path that lies before me. A path behind me will be paved" (Meaning he'll pave his own path).
The team he played for (before Blue Lock) is Ikarigaoka High School Soccer Club.
His favorite type is a woman who takes a step back and supports you.
He thinks his strong point is everything.
Raichi ranked 15th in the first popularity poll with 220 votes.
By the end of the Neo Egoist League, Raichi got a ¥27,000,000 offer from "Vesper Bremen" (ヴェスパー・ブレーメン,Vu~esupā Burēmen?)[14]. Vesper Bremen is based on SV Werder Bremen.
