The Assassin and the Ninja (殺し屋と忍者 Koroshi-ya to Ninja?) is the 26th episode of the Blue Lock anime series, and the second of the second season.
Synopsis[]
The first match of the Third Selection begins with Yoichi Isagi, selected along with Yo Hiori and Nijiro Nanase, to play on team A1, led by Rin Itoshi and Ryusei Shido. They play against team B1, led by Tabito Karasu and Eita Otoya, with Hyoma Chigiri, Kairu Saramadara and Kyohei Shiguma being selected to the team.

In the cafeteria, Isagi gets water for himself and decides to get water for Hiori and Nanase as well. He then encounters Hiori and Nanase who have each also gotten water for each other such that there are 9 cups between them. Hiori calls the three of them silly geese, and Isagi names his experience as living in a gentle parallel world.
Chigiri is seen trying to make conversation with Saramadara and Shiguma after their match. Saramadara talks about flow and surfing in a way that Chigiri finds himself unable to relate, feeling that Saramadara might as well be speaking an alien language. He turns to Shigum, who he internally names a Golem, but Shiguma says that his Gram-gram told him not to talk to suspicious people. This scenario is deemed the incompatible parallel world.
Aryu is pleased to have made it to Team A with Rin and Shido, and as he hopes that he will be paired with two others to form a glamorous team, he disappointed to find how unglamorous the remaining Team A players are: Tanaka is seen picking his nose, Wanima plucks a hair from his alligator eyebrows, and Igarashi is seen with Aryu calling him a life form who leaves much to be desired. Upon Tanaka pulling out a giant booger from his nose, he, Wanima, and Igarashi are all seen remarking how big it is. Aryu wonders what crime against fashion he committed to be in the same category as them.
