Dancing Boy is the 19th episode of the Blue Lock anime series.
Synopsis[]
Isagi's team cinched a win due to the awakening of Baro as a villain on the field. To cause more chemical reactions in the fourth stage, they picked one player from the other team, who demonstrated ego to devour them during the game. In the meantime, Bachira and the Top 3 are looking for the next opponent. Rin sees through Bachira's "monster" during their training, which forces Bachira to face his own ego.
Summary[]
Baro likes Kunigami, explaining that he can hold the ball and if he joins them, they can stay more in front with the ball. Nagi believes that Mikage will do that role better while also balancing their attack and defense. With him, they can play whatever they want and hearing his explanation Baro guesses it may work. Isagi agrees that it may fit the team, but states its also a suicidal act that can crush their potential. While creating a balanced team is the correct thing to do, this isn't how they do things. He further explains that the chemical reactions are key in beating the second selection. Isagi and Baro devoured each other, something that no one can predict and because of that Isagi wants someone who can devour all of them. Baro and Nagi understand his point and point out that there was only one player from the other team that kept up with them in this game. Isagi then states that Hyoma Chigiri is the only one who can join their chemical reaction without disappearing. Isagi tells Chigiri to join them as they need his legs. As Chigiri heads towards Isagi's team, he tells Kunigami to not forget that they haven't beaten Isagi yet. He will hold his frustration and will be waiting for Kunigami.

Isagi stating that only the best can survive in Blue Lock
Nagi tells Mikage that their last play only worked because it was against Mikage. They knew how good Mikage is and that he will be able to make an impossible pass. Nagi tells Mikage that he is amazing. Mikage then wonders why they don't pick him. Mikage states that Nagi has changed and no longer cares about Mikage. He also forgot their promise to become the best in the world together. If he intends to abandon him, he should do it properly. Nagi asks Mikage that if he choses him now, will he be satisfied. They will be a team, but it won't excite them. Becoming the best in the world isn't that easy and its Mikage who forgot their promise. Nagi then states he is past caring and that Mikage is a hassle, so he is done with him. Isagi tells Mikage to become the one who chooses, not the one waiting to be chosen. Isagi then states that only those with the potential to be the best in the world can survive in Blue Lock. Kunigami tells Mikage to not look down, but look at them, otherwise if their heads drop now, they are done for.
Bachira is training with Itoshi. He recalls his mother telling him that the "monster" he sees must be his imaginary friend. Bachira wonders if he is weird, but shares that he wants a real friend to play football with.
Isagi's team has moved to 4th Stage and while they are in the break room, Isagi guesses they can play against Itoshi's team, however, he notices that no one is listening him. Baro yells at them for leaving their socks and towels on the floor. Chigiri states the socks are his and will deal with them once he dry his hair. As the towel is Nagi's, he wonders if Baro can put it in the washing machine. Baro gets angry and tells them to do it now and themselves. He tells Nagi to dry his hear as its dripping everywhere, but Nagi states it will dry itself eventually. As they keep arguing, Isagi tries to diffuse the situation and wonders if they want to go and eat. However, Chigiri if fine and states he will be looking after his leg next, while Nagi intends to watch some videos. Baro agrees to go with Isagi and tells the other two to clean up before they are back.
While Baro and Isagi eat, Baro doesn't say anything and Isagi wonders if he is still angry for calling him "donkey". Baro then asks Isagi what he sees when he is on the field and what kind of football he wants to play. Isagi explains that spacial awareness and direct shot are his weapons and he added "off the ball" to get himself in position. Isagi states he went a bit far with the stuff he said on the field, but Baro states he was right on everything except the "donkey" part. Baro states that he is now stronger, having "died" and crawled back up. Isagi thanks him and states he likes who Baro is right now. Baro states he is trying to learn more about him, so that he can devour his talent and crush him completely. Isagi is fine telling him everything as he intends to evolve twice as fast than him. Baro states he will evolve three times faster and also intends to devour Nagi and Chigiri.

Nagi and Chigiri making the room messier
Chigiri wonders what is Nagi watching and Nagi explains its a complication video as he wants to learn to control the ball better. He especially likes this guy and wants to copy him. Checking the video, Chigiri states that's Noel Noa, the number one striker in the world. Nagi didn't knew that, but realizes why he is that good. Nagi wonders if Chigiri injured his leg as he mentioned he will be taking care of it. Chigiri shows his surgery and explains that if he gets injured there again, he is done, however he has no regrets and runs at his maximum each day. Chigiri tells Nagi that they are more amazing players with good first touches. Nagi then asks him to tell him who they are so that he can check them. Baro and Isagi return to the room, but its even more messier than before. They have been watching some videos and Chigiri is throwing objects at Nagi to control with his first touch.
Bachira attempts to pass Itoshi, however Itoshi easily stops him. Bachira guesses that Itoshi is having fun playing with him, however Itoshi explains that he can't beat him with dribbling that relies on feel. Bachira may look like he is having fun when he is dribbling, but in reality, he is afraid to fight alone and is looking for someone with his football. Such half-baked ego doesn't excite Itoshi.

Bachira playing with the monster
As a kid, Bachira loved football and dribbling. As he is better than the other kids, he easily outplays them. That makes them feel bored and not wanting to play with the "weirdo" Bachira and prefer playing video games. Bachira tells them that there is nothing more fun than football and they should try being one with the ball. However, they still call him weirdo and Bachira ends up fighting them. Later, his mother tells him that he isn't a weirdo, but the other kids can't feel what he feels. She tells him to live his life, believing in what he wants. Bachira then starts playing football with the monster. He then grows playing football with kids who can't read his passes or reach them, resulting in less interesting games for him. Bachira believes there should be someone who feels the same joy as him, since the strikers on TV are playing like the monster he sees. He kept on playing believing in the monster and in the fun of football, but started fearing that he may never meet someone who understands him.

Bachira seeing Isagi as the monster
Bachira eventually received an invitation for Blue Lock. As there would be many players, he hoped that there would be one as good as the monster. When Bachira gave the pass to Isagi to eliminate Ryosuke Kira, he actually made it to the monster, guessing that if there was someone as good as the monster, he would be there in that spot. As Isagi was there, Bachira started believing that Isagi can understand his football the best and share the joy of it with him. Bachira asks Itoshi how he knew he was looking for someone. Bachira explains that he has a monster inside and its like a vision of the football he wants to play. He came to Blue Lock to find that monster in real life. Itoshi guesses that due to his childish obsession his play is half-baked. He can go and play with his monster for the rest of his life, while Itoshi becomes the best in the world. Bachira wonders if Itoshi is a different monster, he can't understand yet. Leaving the training room, Isagi waits for them outside and tells Bachira that he came to keep his promise and take him back.
Additional Time[]
The Team of Late Starters[]
Imamura, Kuon and Iemon decide to team up. Iemon guesses that due to Kuon's reputation as a traitor, no one wants to team up with him. Kuon apologizes and explains that its fine if he wants to team up with someone else. Imamura states they are fine as both he and Iemon are late starters as they were slow in clearing the last stage. Imamura also prefers teaming up with someone he knows, than being disqualified because they were too picky. However, if Kuon betrays them, he is dead. Kuon promises that if he do ends up doing it, they can kill him. Iemon is happy that he will finally be able to play at a position different than goalkeeper. Imamura then asks Iemon if he is again going to be their goalkeeper. Iemon freaks out, and Imamura reveals that he is joking, however Iemon passes out and because of that, their start was even more delayed.
