Just the Way It Is (このままで Kono Mama de?) is the 10th episode of the Blue Lock anime series.
Synopsis[]
Each player unleashed their weapon and ego, and Team Z has caught up to a draw. They totally have the momentum of the game, but that has "awakened" Team V's monster, Nagi. In the chain reaction to awakening, Isagi also learns to use his weapon and keeps fighting. The "heat" generated by the clashing of ego from both teams starts to affect Kuon as well.
Summary[]
Kuon can't believe Team Z equalized against Team V, especially since they are just 10 players. He starts to wonder if they seriously think to win this game. Kuon yells at Team V for being outplayed by just 10 people. Mikage gets angry and tells him to shut up.
Mikage doesn't give up and doesn't want to be his parent's toy. He takes the ball, but Raichi blocks him, mocking him if he is terrified of loosing and that the will give him his first taste of defeat. Unable to pass to Nagi, Mikage starts thinking of other options, but see Isagi behind him, he knows that he can't lose the ball and Isagi is waiting for that. As he is unable to see any openings, he feels the field is completely controlled by Team Z and starts imagining that he and Nagi will lose. Nagi sees Mikage's face and gets back, requesting the ball from him, surprising Isagi as Nagi took the initiative for the first time.

Nagi scores from a small angle
Nagi tells Mikage that he will give it a try. Nagi then turns facing Igarashi, he lobs the ball and then nutmegs him. Imamura then attempts to stop him, but Nagi passes to the wing. Tsurugi and Chigiri run for it, but Tsurugi reaches it first. Nagi then asks Tsurugi to pass him into the penalty area, which surprises Tsurugi as this is Nagi's first time asking him to pass. Nagi wonders why he is trying so hard and if its because Mikage made that face. Or it is because the guys he thought were lame actually looked cool. However, he notes that it doesn't matter now as his curiosity can't be stopped. Tsurugi passes the ball in the goalkeeper area. Nagi stops the ball and even though the angle is small, he turns and scores, for 4-3. Isagi then notes that Nagi has also awakened like them. Nagi tells Mikage that football is pretty fun. Nagi notes that his life has been a total bore, until now when he discovered his form of ego called "curiosity".
Team Z wonder how to stop Nagi. Chigiri asks Kunigami to drop back from the front line and help with the defense. Kunigami agrees and guess they should depend on counter attacks. Raichi calls them idiots and that they need to attack and keep attacking. He and Isagi will figure out the midfield. Raichi states there is no point in defending if they don't score in the remaining 15 minutes. He hates that he is defending, but as he defends, they managed to score 3 goals. They need to go all out and attack as they are strikers. Mikage tells Nagi that they need one more goal and they will win for sure.

Isagi gets the ball before Nagi
The game continues and Isagi wonders what to do. He sticks to Nagi, but then sees Bachira with the ball looking to whom to pass as he is being surrounded by three players. Isagi recalls that they are 10 players and have used more energy than the opponents. Bachira passes to Chigiri, telling him to run. Chigiri then gives himself a long pass and manages to outrun Tsurugi, but Nagi anticipated that and went ahead and waited for the ball. Isagi then comes in front of Nagi, stating that if he wanted the ball, he should have waited a bit more ahead. Isagi then lets Chigiri continue running and passes him the ball. The defense bunch up in front of the goalkeeper. Chigiri takes the shot, but the goalkeeper manages to slightly touch the ball and redirecting it a little into the post. As everyone had gathered at one side to block Chigiri, the other side where the ball rebounds is free. Gagamaru is there who takes the shot, but Mikage had returned as well and blocks the ball. The ball rebounds this time in front of the penalty area, where Kunigami is waiting. He then takes the shot and scores, equalizing the game again. Isagi had envisioned all of this.
Isagi then wonders how he envisioned it. As Bachira passed to Chigiri, a simulation popped into his head. Isagi then ran into the weak point space, knowing that if he occupy it, they will keep the ball and unleash a wave of attacks. Because of his weapon, he was able to run a simulation with everyone's weapons and events from the game. Isagi then realizes this is how he can use his weapon and with his eyes and brain, he can foresee the future of the field.
Sometime earlier, Kuon manages to gather ten more people and fills an application to start a new club in Kitsunezaka High School. They form the new football club and start enjoying their time with Kuon wanting to aim to be national champions. As time passes, his teammates starts to slack more and show less efforts. After loosing a game, seeing them so casual, Kuon yells at them for not being frustrated and if they don't want to win. They tell him that they were never interested in reaching the Nationals and he was the only one seriously believing it. They are satisfied with their level for a weak school and note that Kuon is too overbearing and its not fun playing with him. Kuon realizes he was the only one playing football seriously and decides that he doesn't need friends anymore. He receives a letter for Blue Lock and decides to participate.
Kuon notes that both Team Z and Team V can win this game, and as there is little time remaining the next goal will determine the winner. However, if it ends in a draw, Team Z will finish 3rd and leave the selection. Kuon has scored three goals, but just now Kunigami has also scored his third goal. Both of their fair play points are zero, so the higher ranked player will advance, which is Kuon. Kuon then wishes things remain the way they are and he doesn't have to do anything.

Nagi about to destroy Team Z
Tsurugi gives a long pass to Nagi, however Isagi having predicted this covers Nagi closely. However, he knows that Nagi will have better position and get the ball, so he decides to keep a distance and block him, so his teammates have time to get back and help. Isagi gets in position and waits for Nagi to stop the ball with his left or right leg, however Nagi bumps it with his back and passes Isagi, who then feels desperate as he cannot stop him. Kuon mumbles that he isn't one of those "half-in" guys that let his dreams go unfulfilled, and even if he is alone and needs to use various methods. Nagi is about to shoot and surprisingly, Kuon runs and grabs him, taking him down with a foul. Kuon is given a red card. He tells Isagi that now they can continue fighting. Mikage is angry, but Tsurugi calms him otherwise he may receive a second yellow and be send off too. Team Z wonders why Kuon did it, but he states he did it for himself. They note that he scored three goals like Kunigami, but now his fair play score is lower and Kunigami will continue if they lose. Kuon states he knows it and that they need to win as he will become the best striker in the world. Team Z states they are going to win, with Kunigami and Raichi stating they are gonna be the best striker in the world.
Three minutes remain. Mikage asks Nagi if he is okay and Nagi confirms. Their teammates wonder how to defend and run down the clock for the remaining minutes, but Mikage, Nagi and Tsurugi, wonder what are they talking about as they intend to crush Team Z. Tsurugi notes that a draw against a team like this is the same as a loose.

Nagi prepares to score one more goal
Team V prepares to take the free kick. With Mikage behind the ball, Iemon wonders if he was Mikage to whom he will pass, Nagi or Tsurugi. He then realizes this is Blue Lock and if he is an egoist, he must take the shot. Mikage then shoots and expecting this, Iemon jumps at his corner and manages to block the ball. Before Chigiri and Naruhaya react, Tsurugi gets in front of them, reaching the rebound ball. He immediately takes a shot, but Raichi blocks the shot. The ball reaches Nagi, who stops it with his chest. As he prepares to take the shot, Team Z bunches up trying to block his shot. Seeing that, Nagi takes a soft shot, sending the ball over them, leaving the defense and Ieamon unable to reach it. As its about to enter the empty goal, Gagamaru manages to reach it and kicks it up, hitting the top post and rebounds to where Isagi is. Kuon realizes they managed to held against Team V with just 10 people. Kuon then yells at Isagi to go as Isagi notes its their last chance.
