Leverage (生 (い) かす, Ikasu^?) is the 61st chapter of Blue Lock manga series.

Overview

The 3-on-3 match continues with Isagi, Nagi, and Baro on Team White still down 1 point to Team Red, formed by Kunigami, Chigiri, and Reo. The current score is Team Red 2 - Team White 1.

Summary

Isagi is feeling confident about his ability to score making plays with Nagi though feels that leveraging Baro's power will be the key to their victory. Approaching Baro, Baro continues to refuse to make any assists stating that he would rather lose than bend his will to someone else. Isagi remarks that Baro is squashing his own potential and predicts that Baro will disappear if he doesn't change. Baro states that the idea of chemical reactions and leveraging each other makes him want to barf.

Nagi suggests to Isagi that they should win with just the two of them. Isagi wonders why he is getting hung up on Baro and considers it is because he feels like Baro's potential is being wasted. Nagi remarks that until Baro accepts defeat, he won't be able to feel true frustration.

At the restart, Reo has the ball and is met by Isagi. Reo states that he doesn't understand why Nagi would choose Isagi, whose only ability is to make direct shots. Isagi asks Reo if Reo is hiding an amazing ability. Reo replies that he has no special weapon, which is why he is so stuck on winning. He says this as he breaks past Isagi to pass to Kunigami. Reo and Kunigami move down the field with a one-two pass with Isagi realizing that Reo is the nucleus of their team being a Jack-of-all-trades who can balance a team's abilities.

As Reo passes to Chigiri, Nagi confronts Chigiri who attempts to pass back to Reo. With Isagi in a position to block Reo, Kunigami inserts himself to score with a header. Isagi becomes worried that his team doesn't stand a chance if it's just him and Nagi making plays. Isagi rationalizes that if he can't leverage Baro, he will devour Baro.

Chapter Notes

- Reo plays One-two with Kunigami and then passes it to Chigiri.

- Chigiri runs towards the goal and passes the ball letting Kunigami score with a header.
