After the Parting (
Summary[]
The 3v3 battle ends with a victory for team red and Aryu and Tokimitsu decide to steal Bachira. Rin and the other two go on ahead, and Bachira stands there, emotionless, until he tells Isagi to steal him back if he wants him and that he will obey his monster, and Isagi and Nagi descend to the second stage. They enter the second stage floor and Nagi suggests the idea of checking out the rest rooms, which Isagi declines, saying that he has no time to rest. He tells Nagi how bad it would be if they lose again, sense Nagi would probably be the one picked, sense him by himself is incompetent, unlike Nagi, but Nagi gets mad at Isagi, yanking his hair while saying that his ideals will get messed up if he continues acting like this.
They then fight about ideals and Reo and after Isagi boldy states that Nagi is helpless without Reo, Nagi then throws it back into his face, saying that he's the same with Bachira, and Isagi shoves Nagi away, agreeing with him angrily, saying that he's gonna prove that he can fight on his own. Nagi then finds out a realization and tells Isagi that rather than the first selection, where you could rely on just one person who can turn "0" into "1" to move on, with the reduced field size and players, single actions have much wider importance, and Isagi agrees with Nagi's thought, concluding that in order to survive the selection, win one-on-one.
Nagi then asks Isagi how to get rid of the feeling frustration and Isagi says that winning is the only way, and through the second stage's doors, Baro appears, hopping for strong guys down there, and Isagi, from insight from the monster inside him, plans to try and beat Baro one-on-one.
