Chemical Reaction (
Summary[]
The chapter starts with an epic cover and then Seishiro Nagi, Yoichi Isagi, and Meguru Bachira who are talking with each other about a plan. After they finish, Bachira ties his shoes and acknowledges the plan that Nagi wants to play, because Nagi says he finds it interesting. Isagi also agrees with the plan, saying how it will be the best way to counter the top three (Rin Itoshi, Jyubei Aryu, Aoshi Tokimitsu). Isagi says how Nagi is the type to bring ideas out by himself, but Nagi replies saying that it was his first time making a plan, and only because he is frustrated at losing. Nagi says soccer is not fun unless he wins.
They restart the match, with the Top 3 winning 3-1, and Isagi passing to Bachira. Nagi gets marked by Aryu, and Bachira who is getting marked by Tokimitsu, but the plan they made is to get around that. They decided to pass to each other with only one touch in a triangle formation, because going individually will guarantee a loss. Bachira passes to Nagi and Nagi passes to Isagi in a triangle. They keep passing in a triangle getting closer and closer to the goal until Bachira ends up with the ball. After they get close, Isagi rushes toward the penalty box to score but Rin intercepts the pathway saying "What a lukewarm hotline" so Bachira passes to Nagi instead with a high-speed grounder pass, so Nagi, being the lazy genius, does a back heel trap and spins around Aryu and runs toward the ball and shoots, scoring a goal.
After Nagi scores, Nagi explains how it was unplanned, because all the passes he's gotten so far allow him to do whatever he wants, but this one according to Nagi himself "pushed an idea straight into his brain". Bachira jokes, saying how Nagi could get used to having more ideas sent to his brain, which Nagi agrees, and asks how many more goals they need. Isagi listens and contemplates and analyzes the goal that just happened and realizes that they control the ball with the triangle passing technique, and then with the last phase with his movements, and with Bachira's inspiration and Nagi's instinct to react to that scores goals, which leads him to realize that this is their soccer.
While Bachira, Nagi, and Isagi are chatting, Rin says to them that they shouldn't be chatting on the field and take a straight kick to the goal from kickoff, and he almost scores, if not for Isagi who blocks the ball with his head. Isagi understands that what he can do is sense the danger, and he realizes that he'll control the field with his eyes. He then looks at Rin and says "That was lukewarm".
