"What the Hell?!" (なんそれ Nan Sore?) is the 315th chapter overall of the Blue Lock manga series, written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura.

Summary[]

The stadium erupts in applause as Meguru Bachira performs a backflip to celebrate Japan’s opening goal against the Nigerian U-20. 44 days prior to the game, Bachira visits an elementary school to teach the children the fundamentals of soccer as training issued by Jinpachi Ego. Bachira instructs the children to intuitively juggle the ball as an incipient practice. The students fail miserably as their attempts underwhelm Bachira pedagogical with his perception of soccer differing from other. Realizing his mistake, Bachira rewords his approach and tells the students to drop the ball onto their preferred foot and reciprocate back up to catch it. The kindergarteners are successful at juggling the ball while Bachira introduces new steps to the practice. Bachira deduced Ego specifically issued this training to help the former grow his internal sensation by relaying his experience and in turn, providing both parties the teacher's essence of the topic.

In the present: Onazi is amazed by Bachira's talent, even as his teammates reorganize for a counterattack. Kuso dribbles past Bachira and remodels his strategy for Onazi to receive the ball without intervention by Yoichi Isagi. Kuso passes to Onazi, but the latter is stymied by Jyubei Aryu with his new technique. The result of Aryu's Judo training enhances his perception of the opponent's body and gaze to sense their next course of action. Aryu keep pace with Onazi, and presses the Nigerian ace to pass the ball back to Kuso. Ikki Niko collides with Kuso to prevent any chance of Nigeria from reaching the goal. Kuso is unable to push back the Japanese defender, revealing a strong core within his small stature. Niko's training was to build a body that could match his brain. Niko successfully steals the ball and passes to Reo Mikage from a far distance. Kuso mistakes Isagi as the figurehead of Japan's counterattack while Reo copies Bachira in a combination.
