"Blue Tears" is the 299th chapter overall of the Blue Lock manga series, written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura.

Summary

The chapter opens up with Bachira, Otoya, and the rest of FC Barcha celebrating their victory against Manshine City, with the rest of the Blue Lockers reacting to their scores.

Nanase, Raichi, Kiyora, and Zantetsu all celebrate, Before the next panel cuts to a heartbroken Tokimitsu and members of the U-20. followed by a teary-eyed Igarashi. Ego appears on the big screen, proclaiming that anyone not in the top 23 is unneeded, and to lock off.

Isagi asks Ego why Nagi didn't make the top 23, prompting Ego to say, "He couldn't prove himself in a match... there have been times when he's showed us, he can shine, but he's too inconsistent. This salary is quite appropriate for a player of his quality."

Isagi attempts to retort, claiming Nagi has talent, before being interrupted by Reo, asking for the bid to be redone. Reo is quickly shut down by Ego, telling him Nagi's flame has burnt out, and it was his fault. Once Nagi had believed he'd achieved his goal of beating Isagi, and finally teamed up with Reo, he let himself go.

Reo begins crying, telling Ego to stop, before being silenced once again by Ego, stating he only needs "Crazy Bastards.", and tells Nagi to go home.

Nagi calls out Reo's name and says "I..." as the chapter ends.
