"Work" (仕 (し) 事 (ごと) , Shigoto^?) is the second chapter of the 25th volume and the 214th chapter overall of the Blue Lock manga series, written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura.

Overview

The match between Bastard München and Ubers continues. Bastard München is in the lead 1 - 0 .

Summary

Aiku compliments Isagi on his lefty direct shot as does Lorenzo stating "you're worth way more than 50 mil". He warns Isagi not to get too full of himself after one "sneaky" goal before calling on his team to get to work.

At the restart, Isagi is surprised that Lorenzo is not moving to attack and that the Ubers attacking speed seems slow. He keeps his eyes on Baro, expecting that the charge will probably start with him.

In a flashback to the start of the Neo Egoist League, Snuffy introduces himself and asks his players what soccer is to them. Sendo replies that it is his dream. Aryu says it is his only choice. Aiku says that it is something worth gambling his life on. Snuffy asks more pointedly what they would have left if they lose soccer. He explains that people who can't envision what they would do if they were to become unable to play soccer are amateurs who can only live in their dreams. He states that for professionals, winning is their duty, but the essential fact is that soccer is "work". He describes Ubers as a company with players as employees and matches as business. As he identifies himself as the executive, he asks his employees to become the limbs of his tactics.

Returning to the match, Isagi monitors Baro's patterns and intercepts a pass to Baro to steal the ball. However, the moment he steals the ball, he is triple pressed and unable to use his eyes to access metavision. As Niko steals the ball from him, he tells Isagi that he fell for their trick, "by the time you realize, it's already too late." Isagi is impressed that they read his play, identifying Ubers as having a highly organized, extremely coordinated style of play. He conceptualizes the Ubers as a giant organization rather than a collection of 11 players.

• In a flashback, Snuffy describes to his team how they will play the game -- working in coordination as a company of employees operating on the tactical plays he, the executive, teaches them
• On the field, Isagi steals a pass moving to Baro but ends up falling into a trap set up by the team with Niko stealing the ball from him
