"Divine Trial" (神 (かみ) の試 (し) 練 (れん) , Kami no Shiren^?) is the first chapter of the 23rd volume and 195th chapter overall of the Blue Lock manga series, written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura.

Overview

The match between Bastard München and Manshine City continues. The game is tied 2 - 2.

Summary

After Isagi and Gagamaru stop Chris Prince's knuckleball shot, Kurona catches the second ball and starts the counterattack. As Kurona and Isagi work to move the ball downfield, Yukimiya cuts in to steal the ball from Isagi. When Isagi protests, Yukimiya tells Isagi to "shut it [...] Don't think the world revolves around you. This match is mine..."

In a flashback prior to Blue Lock, Yukimiya is at the doctor's office trying on new glasses. The doctor tells Yukimiya that his eye treatment is going well; his condition won't go away, but it is not getting worse." Yukimiya tells the doctor that he has accepted the state of his eyes. He believes in the saying "God never gives you trials you can't overcome."

Returning to the match against Manshine City, Yukimiya is dribbling the ball downfield, feeling that he can overcome his fate. He dribbles past Swift, Busby, and Young such that only 2 defenders remain between him and the goalbox. He shoots using a gyro shot, with the goalie recognizing that he is not going to be able to stop the ball. As Yukimiya thinks about all the pain he went through to make this shot, he is devastated when Chris Prince steps in to block the shot.
