"Holiday" ( (きゅう) () Kyūka?) is the first chapter of the 18th volume and the 150th chapter overall of the Blue Lock manga series, written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura.

Overview[]

After winning against the Japan U-20 team, the contestants of the Blue Lock Project are granted two weeks off as well as permission to go outside of the facility. Gathered in Shibuya, they meet the Japan U-20 team and bet dinner through a bowling match.

Summary[]

A day after the match against the Japan U-20 team, Anri returns Isagi's belongings, and his two-week break from the Blue Lock Project commences. Back at home, Isagi tells his mother that he plans to meet his friends before going to Shibuya.

Isagi meets Chigiri and Bachira at a café. Chigiri shares that he invited Raichi and Niko, but they did not want to come; Hiori lives far from Tokyo, Igaguri has to help out at the temple in which he lives, and Gagamaru has isolated himself on a mountain and bid that they not look for him. Chigiri adds that he should have invited Kunigami but did not know how to contact him. Isagi shares that he invited Nagi to come, but he is dismayed when he learns via text that Nagi has just woken up.

Isagi comments about how he has missed his freedom and that the world feels oddly new. Chigiri shows him and Bachira a news article featuring their victory against the U-20 team and the Blue Lock Project's recent success in gaining global attention. Bachira insults Mr. Buratsuta from the Japan Football Union, who pilfers the credit for the project's founding, while Isagi and Chigiri pride themselves on their victory and the project's development.

Suddenly, Chigiri spots a few other players from Blue Lock: Reo, Karasu, Tokimitsu, Otoya, Yukimiya, and Aryu have apparently been sitting together at another café just across the street. Meeting each other upfront, Bachira invites them to hang out for the rest of the day. Reo asks about Nagi's whereabouts, and Isagi tells him that he will arrive late because he slept in. Checking his phone, he receives another text from Nagi saying that he will arrive a little later to play for a bit at an arcade.

Bachira suggests they ambush him, and they charge at Nagi as soon as they arrive. Otoya, Bachira, Tokimitsu, and Karasu play the claw machine, then Isagi, Chigiri, and Bachira order Nagi to stand in front of a dartboard as punishment. Karasu yells at Aryu for dramatically holding the cue stick at pool, then he plays ping pong with Nagi against Chigiri and Isagi.

Reo suggests going to the karaoke bar. On the way there, he, Isagi, and Bachira witness an argument between two older women and a man about a cheating incident. As they walk into the karaoke booth, they find out that Aiku is the culprit. He then leads them to the booth across from his, where the rest of the Japan U-20 team is gathered. As the rest of the Blue Lock group arrives, Nio angrily yells at them while Aiku challenges them to a bowling match to bet on dinner. Once at the bowling center, they meet Baro, who has been playing alone, and annoy him for touching his personal bowling ball without permission.
