"Synchronize" (シンクロ Shinkuro?) is the 139th chapter of the Blue Lock manga series.
Summary[]
Rin Itoshi stands on the field thinking to himself. Seishiro Nagi's pass, Shoei Baro's unreadable moves, and even Sae Itoshi's critical block were amazing and that Blue Lock's goal was made all thanks to Yoichi Isagi, not himself. Rin thinks that at some point the field has started moving with Isagi as the center but he won't let himself be overtaken. Isagi standing there thinks that the center of the Blue Lock Eleven is definitely Rin. The goal made just now may have been centered on Isagi but it is only possible because Rin exists so powerfully on the field and Isagi is able vanish from the opposition's view and challenge himself in his own way. Though that play was a one time success that cannot be easily reproduced. Isagi thinks that if he fools himself into thinking they can do that again then he is mistaken and what he needs to focus on is the phenomenon known as the chain of trances. Everyone faces their own original "challenge" and when those "challenges" collide on the field, the end result will lead to a goal. Its incredibly difficult but if Blue Lock can pull it off again they will win. Rin thinks he will definitely score the next one and Isagi thinks he will definitely surpass himself. They both think of devouring each other and becoming the main star as they get ready to play again.
Meguru Bachira thinks that this climax will be explosive, Nagi wants to start already, Jyubei Aryu and Gin Gagamaru steel themselves in the goal area, Kenyu Yukimiya states they have 15 minutes left, Tabito Karasu and Yo Hiori are talking strategy and Reo Mikage says they can score one more. Sae Itoshi and Ryusei Shido stand on the opposite side of the midfield with Shido stating he will stomp out and beat the Blue Lock Eleven. Shido asks say to give him his best and Sae tells his demon to fly. The stadium roars with excitement as the field resets and the sportscaster announces that the scorching match between the two teams has been going back and forth since the beginning but now it has reached its final stage.
As Sae and Shido start rushing down the field, Isagi thinks that its time for defense because if Blue Lock doesn't steal the ball back then they won't have a chance to score. That miracle defensive play last time won't happen again, and everything starts when Sae makes a pass, so what he has to watch out for is the place he passes to, but just then Sae dashes forward towards Isagi instead of passing the ball. Nagi tells Isagi to look out as Sae dribbles towards him, and Isagi notes that Sae has switched his style. Sae announces that he will increase the level of the match, and only the idiots here who can follow him will be able to see the scenery that comes next. The entire field is shocked as Sae starts dribbling; he performs an elastico nutmeg with ease through Isagi as he flows past him, and Isagi notes that Sae has gotten even faster. Instead of prioritizing a pass whenever a chance showed up like before, Sae is now breaking past the defense all by himself to increase his passing options. In response to the level of the field going up a level, Sae increased his own play, and his movements now just show that he was never playing seriously in the first place; Isagi can't see the limit of Sae's skill at all. Sae swiftly dribbles past Karasu and Baro. Reo yells to stop Sae with numbers, and Baro tells him to shut up because he is trying. Rin sees Sae moving and questions how far ahead Sae is compared to him. Back when they were playing together side by side, the gap never seemed this big. Rin questions how far Sae is going to go while leaving Rin behind, and Rin tries to block Sae's dribbling but is swiftly avoided. Rin slides on the ground, thinking back to that moment when Sae threw away their shared dream and left. Rin says he feels like he's drowning right now, and he is tired of feeling mediocre, so he says he's going to destroy himself. He is going to change; there's nothing Sae can do that Rin can't because they are brothers. The same blood flows through their veins, so Rin will synchronize with that and predict Sae Itoshi.
