"What You Taught Us" (
Summary[]
Rin Itoshi and Yoichi Isagi are stunned as the crowd is mixed with roaring cheers and faces full of dread. As Ryusei Shido lands on his feet from his super goal, Jinpachi Ego concludes that Shido was indeed the first to enter Flow. The score is now 3-2, and the Japan U-20 has taken the lead. Shido jumps and roars at his incredible goal. The commentators are surprised at Shido's incredible goal and note the change of the game as the crowd goes wild. Teru Kitsunezato and Teppei Neru run up to Shido, complimenting him, but he runs past them, ignoring them completely. Instead, he gleefully jumps onto the back of Sae Itoshi and exclaims he wants to play football with Sae forever. Sae, annoyed and disgusted by Shido's chummy behavior, throws him off his back and pins him to the ground. He reminds Shido that he must score a hat trick if he is to get Sae's number; until then he is to keep his hands off of him. Shido agrees and rebuts that if he scores 10 more goals, they will move in together. Oliver Aiku and Shuto Sendo look at the duo in frustration and happiness. Yasumori Hoichi, Hirotoshi Buratsuta, and other JFA executives look on in pure joy as their team pulls ahead.
Isagi thinks to himself that that play was unbelievable, and while no one in Blue Lock could handle Shido, Sae continued to challenge him. From surpassing those challenges, that incredible goal was born. Shido has reached Flow, and Isagi stands frustrated because he wanted to get there first. With Sae's guidance, Shido has awakened, and he has completely taken over this match. Even though Blue Lock is playing at nothing short of their best, at this current rate, they will lose, and it will all be over. The ones to change Japanese football won't be Blue Lock but Sae and Shido. Rin stares in complete seething anger at Sae and Shido as the crowd begins cheering their names.
In the Blue Lock stands, Anri Teieri asks Ego what they are going to do about the situation. According to the data they have, Shido's goal shouldn't have been possible, which means he has awakened. If they don't think of something, their team will lose, so she asks him to give him their guidance. Ego responds by saying he has no plan or guidance to give; this stuns Anri, and she reminds him that they are about to lose; if that happens, Blue Lock will be shut down. Just then, Isagi dashes towards the two, calling out for Ego. Isagi says the game can't end like this, so he is asking for Ego's advice. Isagi says the team is fighting with all their might just as they were instructed, but it's still not enough; he asks Ego how they can win. Ego responds by saying Blue Lock has already won, and this surprises Isagi and Anri. Blue Lock dominating the first half and then Shido's wild playing in the second half is everything he envisioned. Ego assures them that Blue Lock will be erased when they lose the match and he will be banned from the world of football, but Team Blue Lock won't disappear. Shido will become the star of Japanese football, and as an ace, second only to him, Rin will most likely join the U-20. The other Blue Lock players will most likely be invited to play at famous universities and national clubs, and they will experience an era where being a part of Blue Lock will be a great asset. Ego says he will disappear and they will change Japanese football; he tells Isagi to be proud because Blue Lock already has won.
Isagi coldly responds, "Who the heck cares about that?"; he doesn't care about the future of Japanese football or a safe future for himself. What he wants, what the team wants, is to win this game, right here, right now. The future doesn't matter if they can't win; losing is the same as dying to them, and they won't accept death just yet. Isagi exclaims that he only cares about being the best in the world, and he rudely tells Ego to make them win because this ego he has is what Ego taught him. Anri is stunned by Isagi's words, and Ego responds by saying he has heard Isagi and they are going to take a gamble. They are going with a plan that even Ego can't predict. Ego calls out to Team Blue Lock's joker card, Shoei Baro, and Baro throws off his jacket, revealing his #13 Blue Lock uniform. Baro says he has been sick and tired of waiting as he steps onto the field.
