"The World Doesn't Know Me Yet" (
Overview[]
Reo clears the ball, and the game must reset, with Reo determined to win the game using his copycat ability. Shido talks to Sae and thanks him for being able to play football and finally being understood, though Sae is confused by the statement and tells him to keep scoring.
The game resumes, and Shido tries to score again, but he is defended by Reo once again. Reo pressures him and gets him angry, having Shido kick the ball into a tight defense, and his shot is shut down. Shido, frustrated by the current situation, starts explaining his life philosophy to himself in his head, and once the ball is sent his way again, the Blue Lock defense closes in on him, effectively shutting down the pass and sending the ball into the air.
Shido thinks he will have to restart his positioning just to get through the defense, but suddenly he feels the goal with his back turned to it and the ball still high in the air. His body is telling him to move even though he is far out of his shooting range, so he leaps into the air and performs a monstrous bicycle kick from the midfield, and it swiftly lands into the net. The Japan U-20 takes the lead with the score now 3-2.
Summary[]
The commentator calls Reo Mikage's surprise clear incredible as the ball flies out of bounds. Reo thinks to himself that moving according to his body's limits, he can copy any move up to 99% accuracy. Reo notes his determination to win this match and get back to becoming a striker again; he thinks he is more than just a defender. He wants to win and once again be close to Seishiro Nagi. Yoichi Isagi thinks that Reo is amazing, and with his chameleon defense and Yo Hiori's anchor ability, the Blue Lock Eleven's formation is now more varied. Once they got subbed in, the team was able to rebalance itself and take the offensive again. With the substitutions working, Isagi is determined to score. Unless he breaks through Oliver Aiku's defense, he won't be able to build momentum, so he must find the path to crushing Aiku.
Ryusei Shido walks up to Sae Itoshi and says his last pass to him was pretty good. Playing football with him is pretty exciting, and it makes him feel like there is electricity pulsing through his brain. Sae, confused, questions what he means by all that, and Shido responds he really doesn't know. He just feels like his freedom is finally being understood by someone, and he feels a big bang coming. Sae states that all that is good for him, but he still has to score. As the game resumes, Shido thinks to himself that the world doesn't know him yet. Passes, strategies, and ways to win are all pathetic to him. To him, football isn't a sport but a biological phenomenon. He reveals that his weapon is extreme spatial awareness, and with it he strives to steal any and all goals so he may be known on the field, and he uses all of his being to achieve penalty area perfection. As long as he is in the penalty area, he can see, feel, and sense the goal, being able to shoot at it from any position. Shido dashes in, ready for a pass from Sae, but just as he receives the ball, Reo immediately and without hesitation marks him using the same stopper skill as Kazuma Nio. Shido comments on Reo's copying abilities and says he should do impressions for a living. Reo responds by saying even though he is just a copycat, Shido is still losing to him, unable to get past him, and perhaps Shido isn't a demon but just a scaredy cat. This comment infuriates Shido, and he kicks the ball, but Reo intercepts it with his foot, allowing Gin Gagamaru to swiftly and easily block it. Gagamaru comments on Reo's good defense and tells everybody to move up the field.
Shido thinks that he isn't "exploding" enough and further notes that every person on the planet is biologically programmed to pass on their genes, leaving behind proof of their existence. They connect with others, hurt others, and do things that make them remembered by others. It just so happens the act of leaving something behind and proving his existence is playing football. He thinks that he must focus; to him, a goal is "fertilization," a shot is the "seed," and the net is the "egg," and the pleasure from making the goal births what he calls "explosions."
Sae receives the ball and sends it flying high, and Shido instantly reacts to the ball. Blue Lock is surprised by Sae's super long pass down the field, and Isagi says that they have to fall back, thinking that nobody is going to be able to react to such a pass, but then he realizes he was wrong. Shido instantly saw the pass and dashed down the field, ready to receive it. The ball lands on the field and bounces, but Shido is already past Reo and Jyubei Aryu, ready to shoot on Gagamaru, but just then, Gagamaru comes further up the field to headbutt the ball off-course, shutting down Shido's play. Shido, frustrated, thinks he will have to reset the play after that, but then he senses the goal from outside the penalty zone. His back is turned away from the goal, and the ball is in an unfavorable position, but he can feel the goal still, and his body is telling him to move. Shido, without forethought, jumps into the air, intentionally entering Flow State, surprising Sae, and Jinpachi Ego comments that it seems Shido is the first one to enter Flow. Shido with intense force bicycle kicks the ball from well outside the penalty zone. The kick surprises and scares everybody in the stadium, and they watch as the ball cleanly hits the net, with the score now 3-2, and now the Japan U-20 is in the lead.
