"Blue Genes" (
Overview[]
Chigiri, now in possession of the ball, accelerates down the field only to be met by Aiku. Noticing Aiku's high ability, Chigiri decides to explode past him while picking up a pass he sent to himself. The surprise cut up the field allows for Blue Lock to take the offensive, and Chigiri passes to Karasu, but just as Karasu is about to take his shot, Sae intercepts the ball, sending it high into the air.
The ball lands in Rin's feet, and Rin prepares to take a shot. Aiku reacts to Rin's movements instantly, preparing himself for all possible scenarios, such as Isagi coming up as a decoy to give Rin space. Aiku predicts that he would use Isagi as a decoy to open a space, but he lets him. Aiku knows that Rin's dominant leg is his right, and any shot from his left will be a bad shot. Aiku plans to bait Rin into taking that bad shot, but he surprises everyone by using the space to perform a trivela and score. Blue Lock takes the lead, 2-1.

Chigiri's lob pass to Tabito Karasu
Hyoma Chigiri accelerates down the field with the ball in tow, only focused on going faster. Oliver Aiku, though surprised, reacts to Chigiri's speed, and Chigiri notes he expected that from the captain of the Japan U-20. Chigiri continues dashing down the field thinking that, overall, Aiku may have better stats at utilizing the field as a whole, but when it comes to the right side, where the straight line stretches to the end of the field, that is his territory. Chigiri kicks the ball ahead of him and thinks that if it's in his territory, he won't lose. He focuses on his speed and explodes past Aiku, instantly catching up to the ball he kicked earlier. The crowd, frightened at Chigiri's sheer speed, watches in awe, and the commentators note his incredible acceleration.
Chigiri was able to dive into the in-zone, but Kazuma Nio immediately marks him, forcing him to think of a plan. Chigiri decides to pass the ball, but he is unable to find anybody open until Tabito Karasu comes from the midfield to the bottom of the top, exclaiming he won't be playing defense the whole game and if he sees an opening to score, he will take it. Chigiri notes his good positioning, and he kicks the ball into a hole where Karasu can easily sweep it up. Karasu calls the play perfect and notes he is barely in his scoring zone but the ball is all his, until Sae Itoshi comes from behind, kicking the ball out of Karasu's reach, having read his positioning perfectly and with pinpoint accuracy. Nio compliments Sae on his interception, and Gen Fukaku calls second ball as the ball flies high in the air and lands in the hands of Rin Itoshi.
Rin shoots with a trivela pass
Aiku instantly reacts to the pickup and marks Rin. Aiku notes that he underestimated Blue Lock; even if they are a team full of high school strikers, he assumed that they would just be a bunch of average players who followed the orders of their coach to the tee, but he was wrong. Every single one of them only has a desire to score goals and change their fates with their plays; they are starving beasts only looking to score goals. Just then, Yoichi Isagi calls out to Rin, asking for a pass, but Aiku reacts and prepares for the possibility of them trading short passes. Aiku thinks that they can go ahead and try, but as Rin motions into a kick, he feints towards Isagi, opening a space for himself to shoot. Aiku predicts this move as well and notes that he noticed Rin's dominant leg is his right leg. Another shot where he tries to copy his brother's left-footed shot will only lead to a less powerful and less accurate shot like last time. Aiku decides that he will leave the left side wide open so as to bait Rin into a bad shot. Aiku guarantees he will kill any right-side shots, and considering Rin's form, he concludes Rin has no choice but to shoot from his left side. He thinks Rin won't be able to do anything until suddenly Rin shoots with his right foot on the left side. giving the ball an outside spin from the kick. This surprise trivela, from outside the penalty zone, shocks everybody in the stadium and on the field as it smoothly lands in the net. Blue Lock pulls ahead, now 2-1, and Aiku thinks that Japan's football finally has some new genes in the mix, saying Blue Lock is the best.
