Summary[]

There are five hours left until Jinpachi Ego announces the Blue Lock Eleven. Aoshi Tokimitsu, eating his fill in the Central Dining Room, sees Rin Itoshi, and Tokimitsu asks him if his nose is okay. Rin says yes, but more importantly, where is Ryusei Shido. Tokimitsu responds by saying that it was announced that he was taken to the Punishment Room but was unconscious when he was taken. Gurimu Igarashi is seen fidgeting and spazzing out about the upcoming Blue Lock Eleven announcement, and he wonders if he will get chosen. Jingo Raichi responds by saying he has a "snowball's chance in hell," and his making it to the Third Selection was a miracle, calling him trash. Igarashi rebuts that Raichi didn't score either, and if he doesn't make it, then neither will Raichi. Yoichi Isagi sees their argument and thinks to himself that he did manage on scoring, and the only one's who managed to score during Third Selection besides the Top 6 were him, Meguru Bachira, Reo Mikage, and Shoei Baro. He thinks that if that was the selection criteria, then he has a chance, and he honestly does not care what position he plays. He wants to be chosen, and he wants to play against the Japan U-20; on the stage where he can change his destiny, he wants to fight.

Ego finalizing the lineup

Ego finalizing the lineup

In his viewing room, Ego sits in his chair, adjusting the upcoming lineup and making his decisions. Anri Teieri comes in and asks if Ego has made his decision, and he responds that "too many cooks kill the broth." To achieve victory, there will be certain talents that get cut away. Just then, Anri's phone rings, and she says that JFA President Hirotoshi Buratsuta is on the line.

With 10 minutes left until the lineup announcement, the Blue Lock players funnel into the Third Selection Central Room. Nijiro Nanase is stating he is nervous while clutching his chest, and Yo Hiori tells him to make sure his heart doesn't leap out of his body. Igarashi asks where Shido is, and Raichi states that he probably is still in the Punishment Room. Tokimitsu says it's almost time, and Jyubei Aryu agrees. Isagi stands there thinking that his fate hangs in the balance as time is up and a door opens. The Blue Lock players are stunned as Ego walks through those doors himself. He congratulates the remaining players and tells them that this is the second time he is talking to them directly. The players are taken aback by his presence, for it is rare to see him in the flesh. Ego reminds them that football is a sport where you score goals and that goals are the entire reason a striker exists. That is why he decided to form a team around the player with the highest goal rate. He tells his players to steel their hearts, for he will be announcing the Blue Lock Eleven lineup.

Blue Lock 11

Blue Lock Eleven Starting Lineup

As the center forward and star of the team, Rin is selected. With an average of 2.5 goals a match, the average goal rate of a Japanese pro player, he will be the center of a hyper-aggressive offensive formation. It will be the type of team that suffers five goals but wins by scoring six. This is the only way a team of strikers can win. "Destruction begets destruction," and he will be leading this team embodying that theme. The players who will help accelerate that destruction are as follows: the defense will consist of Gin Gagamaru as the goalkeeper for his instant reaction to the ball and overall flexibility; Aryu will play as the right center back with his overwhelming height and reach; and Ikki Niko will play as the left center back for his high intelligence, expert spatial awareness, and ball-stealing ability. Supporting them on the side will be two dribblers who boast speed and technique, Bachira and Hyoma Chigiri. Ahead of the defensive line, transitioning into the offense will be Tabito Karasu for his superior ball-keeping ability and high analytical skills to see through goals. He will act as the beating heart of the formation. Moving on to the offense, the side attackers will be Eita Otoya for his speed and stealth and Kenyu Yukimiya for his overwhelming 1v1 ability. At the heart of the offense, supporting Rin will be Seishiro Nagi for his superior ball control, outrageous scoring ability, and outstanding talent. Ego repeats himself, saying that this formation is hyperaggressive with Rin as the center, meaning it needs to maximize his capabilities. Among all the players in Blue Lock, the only person to bring out the best numbers in Rin, who repeatedly coexisted, asserted themselves, and even surpassed Rin, scoring their own goal, was Isagi. He is the last player chosen in the lineup, and Ego announces that this is the official starting lineup of the Blue Lock Eleven, and they will face the Japan U-20.
